PrivateMarketView (“PMV”) is a software and data platform: profiles, valuations, marks, and research tools covering private companies, investors, and the people around them. PMV is not a broker-dealer, investment adviser, or exchange. It does not execute securities transactions, hold customer funds or securities, or receive transaction-based compensation.
Valuations, marks, and prices on PMV are estimates assembled from public filings, reported transactions, and our own models (see the methodology). They can be wrong, stale, or incomplete, and nothing on PMV is investment, legal, or tax advice or a recommendation to buy or sell any security. Decisions you make with this data are yours.
Accounts are personal. Keep your sign-in email under your control; you are responsible for activity under your account. Paid plans are billed as described at purchase; you can cancel any time, effective at the end of the current billing period.
The database is the product. You may use PMV for your own research and work product, including quoting reasonable excerpts with attribution. You may not scrape, bulk-download, systematically copy, resell, or redistribute the data or use it to build or train a competing dataset or product, whether by hand, script, or automated agent. We rate-limit and block abusive access.
PMV is under common ownership with Premier Alternatives (“PA”), a licensed secondary broker operating at premieralts.com. The two are separate services: PMV is software and data only, offers no securities and captures no buy or sell interest, receives no transaction-based compensation from PA, and does not share your data with PA (see the privacy policy). Anything you do with PA is governed by PA’s own agreements and disclosures, not these terms.
PMV is provided “as is.” To the fullest extent the law allows, we disclaim warranties of accuracy, completeness, and fitness for a particular purpose, and our aggregate liability for any claim relating to the service is limited to the amount you paid us in the twelve months before the claim arose.
